The Old School House

Location

The Old School House is a bijoux B&B at the heart of Collingbourne Kingston, nestling in the beautiful Bourne Valley. Surrounded by the "big skies" and rolling chalk downs, captured by JMW Turner, for which Wiltshire is famous.

The picturesque village boasts many traditional thatched cottages, an ancient church and its own country pub, bordering on Salisbury Plain with its rich Archaeological heritage of Stone Circles and mystical monuments, and with the fully restored Kennet and Avon Canal curving though the Pewsey Vale.

Our home, your B&B

The Old School House was opened in 1845 for the teaching the children of local farm workers and rural craftsmen in the Collingbournes. The school closed in 1978.

This wonderful building was acquired by Livio and Lynda Guglielmino, converted into its current form,  and is now run as a bijoux B&B guest house which prides itself on offering a friendly and relaxing service to all its guests.

We are happy to host our doggy friends.  If you would like to bring your favourite pooch with you, please let us know when booking.  An additional fee of £5.00 per night will be made.
